Pavement Evaluation and Design

STE utilizes conventional and also the state-of-the-art procedures for evaluation and design of flexible and rigid pavements.







Pavement Preservation Strategies

STE offers full services in developing mitigation strategies for rehabilitation, maintenance and reconstruction of street and highway networks. These services include development, enhancement and upgrade of Pavement Management Systems.

New Technology Transfer 

STE provides consulting services on the use of new materials and techniques including geotextiles, asphalt modifiers, PCC additives, soil stabilizers, and new state-of-the-art mix design procedures.
 

Non-Destructive Evaluation

STE provides non-destructive evaluation of pavement layers using falling weight deflectometer (FWD), ground penetration radar (GPR), skid testers, and inertial profiler data.

Performance Related Specifications 

STE offers services in evaluation of acceptance criteria, construction quality control, incentive/disincentive pay factors and other performance related specifications. STE's participation in national associations provides key insight into current standards and research.

Unique Testing Solutions

STE provides "unique" testing solutions to mitigate construction issues utilizing state-of-the-art laboratory equipment including Superpave binder test equipment, shear testers, servo-hydraulic triaxial equipment, and rut testers.
